FAQ

Frequently asked questions about us and our treatment:

How can I contact you?

You can reach us by email at Hello@EvergreenBodyBalance.com or by phone (text or voice) at 720-819-5350. I am often unable to answer the phone due to being with a client, but please leave a message and how best to contact you and I will get back to you as soon as I can. You can also use the contact form here.

How can I schedule an appointment?

To schedule an appointment, please just contact us (email, phone (text or voice), our contact form or request an appointment online). We will work with you to find a convenient time for your 90-minute session and answer any questions you may have. Please note that we must approve your appointment request before it is on the books.

What should I expect during a session?

During your session, we will begin with a comprehensive assessment to understand your specific needs, concerns, and goals. We will then tailor the treatment to address your unique situation. The session may include a combination of hands-on techniques, gentle exercises, and other modalities to promote healing, relaxation, and overall well-being.

What should I wear to a session?

Please wear loose-fitting and comfortable clothing during your session. We recommend a tank top and shorts. You will remain dressed for the session, but modalities used require skin-to-skin contact and treatment addresses the entire body. For example, if you come in for shoulder pain, treatment will likely also address your legs. However, we want you to feel comfortable, so please wear whatever makes you feel at ease. If you have any specific concerns or questions about clothing, feel free to discuss them with us. We aim to create a safe and relaxing environment for your session.

How long are sessions?

Our sessions typically last 90 minutes to ensure we have sufficient time for a thorough assessment, treatment, and integration of the techniques used. This duration allows for a comprehensive and effective session that focuses on your specific needs.

How can I prepare for a session?

To prepare for your session, we will send you a brief intake form to fill out before your visit. It’s helpful to have a clear understanding of your goals and any specific concerns you’d like to address. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement. If you have any medical documentation, imaging reports, or previous treatment records related to your condition, you may bring them along for our reference.

Will I need multiple sessions? How long will it take?

The number of sessions you’ll need depends on several factors, including:

  • The nature of your condition: Some conditions may respond more quickly to treatment than others.
  • Your individual response to treatment: Everyone heals at their own pace.
  • Your personal goals: Do you want to address the immediate symptoms or achieve long-term wellness?

Making Progress Together:

The good news is that many people begin to see some positive changes after just one session. However, addressing a long-term condition often takes a committed effort. Here’s how we approach treatment:

  • Initial Series: We often recommend an initial series of sessions (typically once a week) to significantly advance your progress towards achieving your goals. This focused approach allows us to delve deeper into your situation and personalize your treatment plan for optimal results.
  • Ongoing Care: After the initial series, we’ll assess your progress together and create a plan for continued care. This may involve additional sessions to continue progress toward your goals or maintenance sessions to support your long-term well-being.

Investing in Your Wellness:

Think of recovery like building strength – consistent effort leads to lasting results. While some conditions might improve quickly, addressing long-term issues often requires time and dedication. We’ll work with you to create a personalized plan that fits your needs and goals, helping you achieve optimal results on your healing journey.

How often should I schedule sessions?

The frequency of sessions depends on your specific needs and goals. Initially, we recommend scheduling sessions on a regular basis (such as weekly to every other week) to maintain the progress achieved and support ongoing healing and progress toward your goals. During your initial consultation, we will discuss a recommended treatment plan and frequency that suits your situation.

Can treatments help with post-operative recovery?

Absolutely. Our specialized treatments are designed to aid in post-operative recovery, whether it’s after a mastectomy, C-section, a joint replacement or any other surgical procedure. We incorporate targeted techniques and modalities to support tissue healing, reduce poor scar tissue formation, manage pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall recovery.

Scar Tissue Release...is it painful?

Scar tissue release is a specific treatment we offer. Traditional methods (otherwise known as scar massage, cross-friction massage, scar manipulation, Graston, gua sha etc) can be very intense and often painful.

Our approach, which utilizes MPS (Microcurrent Point Stimulation), is known for its gentle approach to scar tissue release. We focus on optimizing your comfort while achieving results. MPS offers an immediate and noticeable difference compared to traditional methods.

For a firsthand account, here is an article written about a woman’s experience with c-section scar release.

What should I expect to feel during treatment?

Our goal is to provide a comfortable and relaxing treatment experience. While techniques can vary, they are generally gentle and designed to optimize your comfort. You might experience temporary sensations like pressure, warmth, or a tingling feeling. These sensations are often associated with the targeted treatment and typically fade quickly.

We prioritize open communication throughout the session, and you’re welcome to share any feedback or ask questions about the sensations you experience. We will adjust the treatment based on your comfort level to ensure a positive experience.

How can sessions benefit active individuals?

Our sessions are tailored to meet the needs of active individuals who may require assistance with injury rehabilitation, pain management, and enhancing performance. We employ modalities like myofascial release and microcurrent point stimulation to address specific muscle imbalances, promote tissue healing, increase ATP production (cell energy) and optimize movement patterns, enabling clients to recover from injuries and return to their active lifestyles.

Are your services suitable for all ages?

We provide services for clients of various ages. Our treatments are tailored to address the specific needs of each individual, taking into account factors such as age, health status, and personal goals.

Can I combine your services with other medical treatments?

Our services are often complementary to traditional medical treatments. We encourage open communication with your healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to your care. If you have any specific concerns or questions about combining our services with other treatments, we are happy to discuss them during your session.

What can I do to enhance the effectiveness of my sessions?

To maximize the benefits of your sessions, we recommend following any self-care instructions provided, such as at-home exercises, relaxation techniques, or lifestyle modifications. Additionally, maintaining open communication and sharing feedback during and after the session allows us to tailor the treatment to your evolving needs.

What modalities do you incorporate in your treatments?

We employ a range of effective modalities, such as myofascial release (MFR), microcurrent point stimulation (MPS), Total Motion Release ®, manual therapy techniques, and vagal nerve stimulation using the Dolphin Neurostim ® device. These modalities are carefully selected to address the body-mind connection, promote healing, relieve pain, and support the nervous system.

Do you take insurance?

We prioritize offering personalized care and competitive rates, so we currently don’t participate with any insurance networks. However, we can still be a good fit for you!

  • We provide out-of-network superbills upon request to help you seek reimbursement from your insurance provider.
  • We accept payments from Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).

Tip: Contact your insurance company to learn about out-of-network coverage details.
